External morphology

Some markings present. Size 23 mm x 26 mm.

This new genus of the Tridentidae was discovered by Dutch occlupanologist N. Zickert on bags of apples in the Netherlands. Though the small lateral palps are superficially similar to Nevani spinustratum, upon closer examination they have a distinctively different morphology. The small depression in the posterior edge is another unique feature. The species is named after the Dutch province of Groningen. It is distinguished from A. aotearoa by having a larger oral groove, and slightly thicker integument.
