They are considered by occlupanologists to be a newly developed taxon, only because it is inconceivable that such a terrifyingly huge occlupanid could have evaded notice for any length of time. With a thick integument of nearly 2mm, they are a sight to behold. Novenocentrids are identified primarily from the large oral groove fringed with either nine sharp points (seven dential processes plus two oral hooks), or a large oral groove fringed with eight flower petals, depending on how one feels that day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-930 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" title=\"Mycognathid\" src=\"http:\/\/www.horg.com\/horg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/noven.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"407\" height=\"407\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"description\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Family Novenocentridae &#8220;Nine sharp points&#8221; The Novenocentridae is currently described from two species.
