Discovered and described by Hong Kong occlupanologist Kurisu (FORC) on various bags of Coles and Woolworths bread products in Sydney, Australia. An invasive mimic of Haplognathids Unidentia obtusamaxilla ammon<\/em> and U. o. brevis<\/em>, and has successfully outcompeted these occlupanids in many grocery habitats.\u00a0 Keen-eyed occlupanologists will note that the oral groove of Ammonheres irritus<\/em> is positioned closer to the anterior edge than the occlupanids it imitates.\u00a0 The fibrous nature of this species and the position of its oral groove means this species can easily lose grip on its host bags because of external force. As a result, countless specimens had been spotted on the ground of Woolworths and Coles stores, some of them with oral hooks that were bent or even torn off.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
