A singularly perplexing and haunting occlupanid. While its utter lack of an oral groove would disqualify this strange microsyntheran from class Occlupanida, the morphometric similarities to other archaic occlupanids cannot be denied. Like the Fusoridae<\/a>, which Inoris cyclofenestra<\/em> may be closely related to, there is speculation that this occlupanid has actually lost<\/em> its oral groove, and parasitizes its host through other means. Collected by scholar O. Carpenter from an industrial warehouse in the state of Washington, the taxonomic status of this occlupanid is hotly debated, as it may soon be lumped in with its fellow fused “mouthless” entities.
