Chloronyx pinicola<\/em> Are perennial pseudocclupanids that are observed primarily in winter.\u00a0 Its host organism is quite unique: Plastic evergreen trees with pre-installed holiday lights. Its oral groove almost entirely fills the space of its body. The integument can be of smooth or rumpled plastic. First known species so far collected of family Chimochaeridae <\/b>(“joy of winter”). First specimen collected in 2021 by field researcher S. Saies in Olathe, KS. Further specimens were sent in from Lincoln, NE by researcher J.
