Host Organisms: Numerous- Often found on bread products, ranging from Orowheat to Trader Joe's Whole Wheat Pita Bread.
Life and Habits: P. utiliformis is certainly the most common of all occlupanids, and is also the most colorful- specimens can be found with colors throughout most of the spectrum. Its shape is the one laypersons most often associate with "bread ties".
