Lateral palps, large size. 43 mm x 33 mm.<\/p>\n

With external morphology essentially identical to Megapanis hursti<\/em> and Megapanis gregjubyi<\/em>, M. huningi<\/em> clearly is a close relative of both. M. huningi<\/em> however displays an oral groove more rectangular than either.\u00a0 Several specimens of M. huningi<\/em> have been examined and all bear obscure blotchy tribal markings on one side and several rough growths on the opposite side suggesting that a cape or similar appendage was once attached. No clues yet as to what the appendage may have been.\u00a0 Discovered and described by occlupanologist C. Huning of DWORC. Field researcher M. Radzilowski discovered one such specimen attached to a bale of hay at a pet store in Florida.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
