This subtle Toxodentid was discovered by field researcher R. Gerke on a bag of bagels in Fargo, North Dakota.\u00a0 While sharing an oral groove similar to Palpatophora utiliformis<\/em>, this occlupanid possesses small indistinct palpae. A theory was put forth that perhaps the palpae had been somehow eroded or had been nibbled away, but further research confirmed multiple specimens bearing the same minuscule rounded appendages. Troubled by their find, it was sent to HORG in hopes of proper identification. The Board of Taxonomy has determined that its unique morphology constitutes its own species.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
