The Novenocentridae<\/strong> is currently described from two species. They are considered by occlupanologists to be a newly developed taxon, only because it is inconceivable that such a terrifyingly huge occlupanid could have evaded notice for any length of time. With a thick integument of nearly 2mm, they are a sight to behold. Novenocentrids are identified primarily from the large oral groove fringed with either nine sharp points (seven dential processes plus two oral hooks), or a large oral groove fringed with eight flower petals, depending on how one feels that day.<\/p>\n
