Genus Scindocorpus<\/em> has a unique feature, a large bilateral fissure running nearly the length of its body. It is conjectured that the lengthy fissure allows for some sort folding adaptation, allowing it access to niches previously only available to kirigamiid occlupanids, but first-hand accounts are lacking. Scindocorpus bivultus<\/em> has a glossy integument, and its oral groove is slightly larger than that of S. vitreus<\/em>. Thought to be endemic to Australia. Species submitted and described by C.
