Discovered in Chuncheon, South Korea by field researcher Jupiter (FORC), attached to a bag of ‘Shany’ brand bread. This occlupanopsid uncannily mimics the shape of Palpatophora utiliformis grandis in nearly every way, including the large lateral palps. Even more distressingly, the stiff integument perfectly mimics the smooth and sturdy feel of plastic. This single precious specimen was sent to the HORG forensics lab to undergo experimentation to properly determine if in fact it was made of chartoniphytous material, or if it was a corpus of synthetic felt<\/a>. A small shave biopsy was performed on the obverse side, revealing fine nearly-transparent flaxen fibers<\/a>, in stark contrast to the large coarse fibers<\/a> of occlupanopsids such as Redivivus imitator<\/em><\/a>. However, both dissolution by water and and incendiary tests on both materials gave similar results, especially when compared to soaked and burnt shavings from a sample of P. utiliformis grandis<\/em> itself. Though the results are not entirely conclusive, the HORG Board of Taxonomy has placed S. jovis<\/em> in the Toxodentaceae, until further experiments can be conducted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
