This Tridentid is maddeningly similar to Admordorsum groningensis<\/em><\/a>, and indeed has been proposed as a subspecies, or even possibly a variant, or simply, “Admordorsum groningensis on an off day”.\u00a0 But historical records compiled by FORC show that this specimen has been sighted repeatedly since 2023, with a specimen and report submitted in 2025 by occlupanologist Kurisu, who has observed them on bags of bread and other products in Hong Kong. Armed with this knowledge, researchers at HORG took a closer look. Tiny variations, that might be missed by the casual observer, became worryingly apparent. By then the HORG imaging team had brought out the dissecting microscopes, and during a late night gazing into 200x magnification, scholars there discovered a minute indent above the lesser distal palp that is present<\/em> in Admordorsum groningensis<\/em>, but conspicuously absent<\/em> in the new specimens.\u00a0 After pulling up the entire Admordorsum collection at 2AM, a few brave students started searching through the collection to find any additional specimens with a similar morphology. None have yet been found. Until the dust settles, the Board of Taxonomy have provisionally placed these species under a new genus, just in case anything more comes to light.
