Lateral palps with uneven appearance. Small ribbonlike flecks of plastic on edge. Large circular scar on rounded side. Size 21.8 mm x 25.9mm<\/p>\n

This relative of Palpatomimus chilensis<\/a><\/em> has been found on large 3-lb bags of Dole apples from Chile, discovered in Quebec, Canada. With its spacious second oral furrow, P. megalocephalus<\/em> only adds more fuel to the taxonomic fire about connections Palpatomimus<\/em> may have with the Mycognathidae. Embossed on the obverse “flat” side of this occlupanid is invariably a raised sigil resembling a number. Many variations of these integer-like sigils have been observed. Discovered by N.
