Scrutinizing further, it was correctly noted that these specimens most closely resemble the acutignathid Migrugibba modestus, but with a shorter distal region. Like M. modestus, it is most commonly found nestled among diverse hoards of occlupanids. Excitingly, a few months later a second sighting of M. vulpis has been recorded from a small clattering of hoarded occlupanids in Oakland, CA. It is possible that M. vulpis does not attach itself to a host for a great portion of its life cycle, but instead sustains itself via the proximity of other occlupanids, in a form of symbiotic commensalism. Clearly more socio-syntheric studies of this occlupanid will need to be undertaken, once that branch of study has been invented.
Species described by the students of Sidwell Friends School, in honor of their vulpine mascot.

Migrugibba vulpis “Little bumps of the fox” Kingdom Microsynthera Phylum Plasticae Class Occlupanida Order Orthogonidectes Family Acutignathidae Genus Migrugibba Species M. vulpis External morphology Smooth and rectangular.
