The layout, symbols, and general design used for the Holotypic Occlupanid Research Group are derived from the oft-cited scholarly tome known as the Wildlife Treasury, the heart’s desire of every young taxonomist in the 70’s and 80’s.

By constantly referring to the arcane pictograms and glyphs situated above each species card, the amateur occlupanologist can make some sense out of the stunning diversity of occlupanids and their microsyntherid cousins. It will also be of some use whenever a publisher picks up the tab for producing a set of HORG playing cards.
