small rounded isoform lateral palps. Size 21.5 mm x 23.5 mm
Neotessera hemilaevis appeared recently along with several other occlupanid species, all exhibiting the same set of adaptations; All exhibit a translucent pliable integument that is polished on one side and gently textured on the obverse side, and possess vestigial rounded lateral palps. All specimens so far collected and observed are devoid of markings of any kind. N. hemilaevis has been observed on bags of Thomas’ English Muffins, as well as hot dog buns. Holotype collected in Tucson, AZ by occlupanologist Faelden of the Sonoran Network of Occlupanid Taxonomy.
