small rounded isoform lateral palps. Size 21.5 mm x 23.6mm
The staff at HORG have fielded a sudden flurry of independent reports and submitted specimens starting in April 2025 of this and other similar occlupanids, all which share a distinctive set of adaptations; All exhibit a translucent pliable integument that is polished on one side and gently textured on the obverse side, and possess small rounded lateral palps. Some scholars at FORC have suggested that these hyaline occlupanids first originated in the Western half of North America, and have gradually spread Eastward; a chronological survey of reports to HORG would seem to support this hypothesis. Neotessera vitripalpus has been observed on several types of bagged bread products. Holotype specimen discovered by field researcher A. O’Connor in Yellowstone National Park, on Orowheat Buttermilk Bread.
