While a plethora of tridentids can be found worldiwide, those of genus Captospinula have been a rare sight. This specimen, discovered by field researcher K. Blackmer, was found safely nestled in a hoarded mass of occlupanids that were extracted in Tennants Harbor, Maine. Readily identifiable from other tridentid genera by its slightly-rounded rectangular outer edge, C. celsus has a larger oral groove than C. simplistica and other cogeners. Described by C. Huning (DWORC).
