External morphology

Concave lateral sides, and miniscule palps. Size 21.5 mm x 23.5 mm

Named for the shape of its oral groove, which resembles a small digging tool. Little is known about this intruiging occlupanid. The small band of adhesive attached to its obverse side has led scholars to theorize a possible amiculum, thus raising the possibility of a vegetable-based host.
