Order
Sarcozyga
“Flesh yoke”

Order Sarcozyga was first described via text by a field researcher from Portugal in 2020. It was not until 2025 that its existence was confirmed. Thick, sculptured, and glasslike, this yoke-shaped microsyntheran would ordinarily not be considered among the Pseudocclupanida but for its very occlupanid-like habit, that of gripping the twisted plastic end of meat products.
