Constrictula rugosa is a once rare and distinctive beast that increased its numbers and speciation.  Observant occlupanologist K Andrews discovered several specimens clinging to mesh bags of potatoes at a Traders Joes grocery store in Santa Cruz, California. All shared the deep reddish color as our holotype specimen, but white color morphs have recently been found, including some on mesh bags of plastic-enclosed popsicles.
