The first of the cartonalia to be scientifically described. Bright white with dentition clearly that of a Tridentid occlupanid, this clever occlupanid-mimic is in fact entirely comprised of fine paper fibers, marking it as part of Kingdom Papyrae, one of the newly discovered Occlupanopsida. Octangulum fibrosum was discovered by occlupanologist A. Lee (FORC) on bags of generic Wonder Bread products in Melbourne, Australia, alongside specimens of Palpatophora glyphodorsalis. Curiously, the markings on O. fibrosum mimicked that of P. glyphodorsalis, if not its shape. Is its mimicry incomplete?
