Blobular asymmetrical lateral palps. Size 9.9 mm x 10.9 mm

The oral groove of this tiny occlupanid displays a curious asymmetry, especially in its first (gular) oral furrows. A survey of multiple specimens, each showing the identical quasi-warped pattern, prove that this is no mere mutation. M. distortus is found in an incredibly rarified niche; blind box series of miniature foods such as “いっぱい買っちゃう!家ちかスーパー” (see Fig. 3) . It can be found clutching tightly a thumb-sized plastic bag containing tiny plastic bread.  Species discovered and described by N. Juju (FORC)
