Dutch beachcomber M. Kerkhof became well-acquainted with occlupanids during his forays into the field, amassing a small collection in his quest to keep the shores of the Lek River clear of refuse. This new littoral species of Tridentid was discovered while removing syntherae from the riverside outside of Vianen. Nothing is yet known of its host, and even less is known of its life as a river-adjacent occlupanid.
