This relative of Palpatomimus chilensis has been found on large 3-lb bags of Dole apples from Chile, discovered in Quebec, Canada. With its spacious second oral furrow, P. megalocephalus only adds more fuel to the taxonomic fire about connections Palpatomimus may have with the Mycognathidae. Embossed on the obverse “flat” side of this occlupanid is invariably a raised sigil resembling a number. Many variations of these integer-like sigils have been observed.
