- External morphology
Varies widely but all conspecifics have dorsally arched body.
Distinguished from E. arcuatis by having a somewhat smaller oral groove. The various subspecies that make up E. arcuatiparvoris are deeply varied, often attempting to mimic other commonly-encountered items. While a few have been spotted in the wild, most have been acquired in laboratory settings.
A partial sampling of observed subspecies include:
E. arcuaparvoris agriscuta
(“farm-shield bowed small-mouth changing-body”)
38 mm x 31.8 mm
E. arcuaparvoris immanidiscus
(“immense-disc bowed small-mouth changing-body”)
50.5 mm x 50.5 mm
E. arcuaparvoris sinuvitta
(“folded-ribbon bowed small-mouth changing-body”)
50.4 mm x 34.5 mm
Species discovered and described by M. Rutledge and GASTRORC. More information about these curious occlupanids can be found here.
